If you haven’t already, I recommend testing the issue in safe mode. Starting in safe mode allows your Mac to run certain checks, remove caches, and prevent login items from automatically launching. This can isolate possible third party issues. Use the steps and information in the link below for assistance with safe mode:

Reboot the computer. At the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-S keys to start into Single-user Mode. You will boot to a black screen with scrolling white text, release the keys and wait until it finishes. If you see the login window, press the Shift key while you click the Log In button, and then release the Shift key when you see the Dock. Start up in safe mode. Start or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key. The white Apple logo appears on your display. If you don’t see the Apple logo, learn what to do. Release the shift key when you see the login window.
